Ainetheon Arts Art By Annie McLean

Ainetheon Arts is the trading name of artist Annie McLean. Annie has been an artist for many years now and works in a variety of mediums in both representational and abstract forms.

Landscape forms the greater part of Annie's artworks. Annie seeks to represent not only what she sees but also the sense of being part of the environment. Some landscapes are produced using an impressionist approach which represent what the artist sees and feels about her surroundings. Other landscapes adopt a slightly abstracted form where mood and narrative is hinted at, allowing the viewer to add their own perception to the scene.

Still Life arrangements, sometimes of a simple everyday object, are used to create a voice within the scene. Shoes are of particular interest to Annie and she tries to bring out some of the character of the person who once wore them. Sometimes Annie creates a short piece of prose to accompany these works, creating a fictional account of who might have worn the footwear or some event the shoes were once part of.

Abstract Art is something Annie has been developing over the last few years. She uses symbolism to portray stories or events and often combines multiple processes and media in one piece of artwork.

Printed Artworks are all original pieces of art in their own right, mainly limited editions for the larger prints and open editions for the greetings cards. All editions are signed in the traditional way using pencil in the right hand corner. Annie mainly produces relief prints, wood engravings and etchings.

Annie believes in providing quality at an affordable price. She produces original works of art to suit a variety of tastes and budget. Original artwork ranges from greetings cards which can be purchased for a few pounds to large paintings, often by commission, costing several hundred pounds. Every work of art that leaves Annie's studio comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
