I am committed to helping students struggling with Maths, English and essay-based subjects to improve their skills and get that all-important grade! I work with students to help them understand the logic behind maths so they can see it is not a 'trick' or a technique to memorise but is instead something that makes logical sense.

I bring the same approach to essay-based subjects. What is the argument? What evidence do I need to support this? What is the best order to present it? This way students can focus on the all-important ideas, rather than simply turn the essay into a list without thinking why they are telling the reader the information or how it pushes their argument forward. This process helps student write cogent, persuasive essays.

I have a PhD in History and have trained as an economist so I have excellent skills to help a wide range of students. I am friendly and approachable and have had great success in the past helping students get the grades they need and want.
