Ailteir Studio

Matthew Merrick is a post-graduate of the Mackintosh School of Architecture (B.Arch (Glas)1990 dip.Arch (Mac)1994. Registered ARB, RIAS.

Matthew has a range of building skills resulting from construction and building conservation work undertaken prior to attending architecture school.

This has led to a particular expertise of timber frame buildings, and sustainable construction methods.

Since graduating, Matthew has worked with a number of architectural practices in Glasgow, including Simister Monaghan Architects, John Gilbert Architets and Macmon Architects. He has been the project architect for a number of social housing, private housing, health care and commercial buildings while in private practice

“Ailteir-studio” has since it’s conception in 2009 has been engaged with various residential projects including extensions, attic conversions, and refurbishment projects in the Glasgow area.
