Agincare New Milton

We are a domiciliary care service looking after people in their own homes within our local community. We provide care to people privately, through local Social Services & Primary Care Trusts. Our services are for people who require care or support in certain aspects of their daily lives. They may have dementia, sensory impairment, physical disabilities, require care towards the end of their life and wish to remain at home, or have complex needs. People may also just need to see a friendly face each day to help them with small, but ultimately just as important, needs. Our aim is to provide a person-centred care service, providing high quality care that meets the needs and wishes of each individual at all times. We are dedicated to providing a service that treats people with respect, dignity and protects their privacy.

Our team in the New Milton branch is lead by Mandy Kinsella. The Care Co-ordinator is Jill Gilbert. Jill has her NVQ 3 in care, Jill previously worked for Agincare in our Ferndown branch for 9 years and has over 20 years' experience in care. We believe that the team in New Milton will continue to build the goodwill of the company and continue to provide a dedicated care service to the local community.

We have a stringent recruitment procedure in place. Our care workers are all required to have an Enhanced DBS (previously CRB) disclosure, before commencing visits to clients in their own homes. We require references, including from their latest employer. They have to provide employment history explaining any gaps there may be. All intended care workers have to attend Agincare's three day induction course, before employment commences. This in depth training course covers all aspects of the company’s policies and procedures, training on moving and handling, medication, infection control, safeguarding, health and safety and the role of a care worker. If a care worker passes the induction, they then shadow an experienced care worker for a period. This part
