Funny Story! I randomly met the owner of Agent Local one morning on a train from Euston to Manchester. He was sat at the same table as me and my wife, and I overheard him taking a call about selling a large hotel. Once he hung up, I mentioned that I was actually looking to sell a business — and two hours later, we were still deep in conversation (much to my wife's amusement!).

He shared his journey with me — from setbacks and failures to building Agent Local into a national success. Honestly, what a guy. It reminded me that failure isn’t final, and he who knocks, the door shall be opened.

I’ll be using Agent Local next month to sell my accountancy practice and am genuinely looking forward to working with them.

I had a really nice agent called Andrew and after the awful experience i went through with Hilton smythe who was the last company i used, i can now say agent local are the only genuine broker out there for selling your business. They sold my hair salon in both croydon and fulham in 15 weeks and it’s helped me move abroad and changed my life. So happy i found them, so thank you

We used agentlocal twice this year to sell our dentists across Luton and Watford. The agent helping us Lisa was nice, knew her stuff and delivered so yes full praise. Probably the most professional and honest company out there selling businesses and they must be doing ok financially as there offices are in the gherkin building central London which mustn’t be cheap. Overall the sale took around 14 weeks which was incredible compared to Hilton smythe our last broker who failed to sell us in a year and wanted £5k upfront, so it was just a well managed sale no issues. ONE small negative I’ll add to balance the books was their was to many buyers wasting our time to start with, but that’s not the agents fault but yes we were inundated with offers way below market value from Asians and it soon took its toll, so bare that in mind when selling a business!! To many people want something good for nothing and we got fed up of it and told the agent to just stop responding to them
