Is StopAdora a Scam or a Rip-off?
1
This comment is NOT to imply Adora Model Agency are running a scam. I will leave that decision for others to think about.
I want to help define what Scam means and what someone can do if they suspect they are being scammed.
First determine is it a scam or a rip-off? Maybe it’s the later!
It can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference between a scam and dubious offer (being ripped-off).
Your being ripped-off, if:
The provider is not intending to steal
You've been misled by an offer
By deliberately misleading you or are grossly negligent
A product or service that is overpriced or of poor quality.
Been sold a copy or imitation.
Don’t be disappointed this is still considered to be questionable practice and you still have rights which providers must not breach.
Check out "Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008" or later publications.
Now if you have been Scammed then that's more serious.
A scam is making money by deceptive, dishonest, or fraudulent means, i.e., a swindle or fraud a scheme to steal money or goods. Typically the provider is running a fake company, this is a scam.
Scams are criminal offences under the Fraud Act.
This means that trading standards officers can take criminal action against the scammers. (This does not mean getting your money back, it does however means putting a STOP to the scam)
Anyone can report to Action Fraud it only take 20 minutes using the online form, even if it’s only under suspicion about an individual, a group or company.

You may consider contacting your local police station to report the scam. This may provide them with useful information in catching the fraudsters.
Do not dial 999 to report a scam.

What's the scam all about ?

A scam is when you paid a certain amount of money towards something that isn't what you expected for or believed it would be.
As far as i'm concerned and reading all these reviews, no one was forced to spend money. Your choice. I had the choice and decided to get myself some photographs which i could then also use to promote myself as a free lance model.
So before writing angrily non sense online, beat yourself up for having spent money and don't blame others for you own actions.

This review is untrue.
If you are successful and invited to the test shoot then the agency pay. Obviously if you wish to purchase images then you would deal direct with the studio. This review also says she has not been offered work. How could she be offered work if she is not on the agency books.
Please feel free to email the agency for further advice.

fu** Anthony! yes! ( without any respect) because you guys don't have any respect for the people. because it's all of you deserve. i was tested to be a model there too and they said you have potencial 2 years ago. they treat me like sh** ( they told me we can't primise to find u work ( but we want you), a real agency won't signed you firstly if they think you are not right for their kind of job. and then asked me for money for my photos. ( a real agency will always provide you a book and photos for free.. and guess what? i'm signed now by two big agencies in London and Barcelona. so shame of Adora that as done it to a lots of people! as lose a lots of talents too i always says to everyone that Adora is a lie. so don't worry it will be gone soon!!

I wouldn't give them even one star but you have to choose it. They didn't even ask me too come and see them just invited straight for a photoshoot that I had to pay for. The photoshoot was HORRIBLE AND SO UNPROFESSIONAL- terrible make-up, hair and overexposed photos ( and all of these done by one woman). And no job offers either. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!
