The idea to establish Admiral Van Hire in April 2002 resulted from the brothers' own frustrations, whenever they used hire companies. The twins were frequently disappointed to discover that vehicles they'd booked were unavailable and the alternative offered unsuitable. Added to this, the excessive hire charges and the inflexibility of most hire companies, led them to believe they could do a far better job.
