WHAT DOES AN ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT CONSIST OF?

Acupuncture is a discipline of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which consists in gently inserting fine, sterile, disposable needles in specific points of the body (called meridians or channels) where the body's vital energi 'Qi' flows along.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, if there is no blockage in the mentioned channels, there is no pain or illness; when they get blocked, illness appears. By inserting acupuncture needles in the patient's body, the Chinese practitioner stimulates the body’s energy ‘Qi’ and unblock the body’s energy channels to prevent and/or cure illness.
