Excellent service!

Having been a customer of Ackermanns Music for many years I am constantly delighted with the service I always receive. Your stock of music in my field as organist and pianist is superb and should anything be out of stock, or proving difficult to find, you go to great lengths to resolve the requests for which I'm so grateful. Also I'm always grateful for you posting music out to me at home especially when I have a sudden request for a wedding or funeral piece at the last minute.
We are very fortunate to have your services so close at hand - thank you.

Lovely traditional music shop, slightly out of the main town on the same street as the Cathedral. Every sort of instrument seems to be sold, although I didn't see any pianos or drum kits. There is also a lot of sheet music - a mix of classical and pop - but no CDs. On Saturdays it gets quite full, so if you want lots of help to choose or try an instrument it's better to try a weekday, or you might have a bit of a wait.
The staff are very helpful and someone seems to know quite a bit about most instruments - including repairing them, which they do on the premises.Best point - no background music!
