Accubooks was established in 2007 by Alister Curran. Alister is a full member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and holds a practice licence; as such the highest professional standards have to be adhered to. Alister brings a wealth of experience to the practice, gained over many years working in accountancy firms, at the sharp end working as an in-house financial controller for various companies, and latterly providing services to a widely varied client base on a remote basis.

We offer a complete range of services to our clients, including bookkeeping, credit control, management reporting, VAT, payroll, self-assessment tax returns. With the increasing automation of the capture and processing of accounting data, we place particular emphasis on the financial analysis aspects, as we believe this is where we can really add value. How is the business really performing? What do trends indicate as to current performance and, crucially, how the future landscape of the business is shaping up? How are margins looking, in relation to past periods and to projections? This is the kind of information business owners need to have at their fingertips and we make it our priority to deliver in that respect.

We operate on a fixed fee basis, whereby our clients are charged fixed amounts on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis, depending on circumstances. We do not believe it is possible to quote on a one size fits all basis, as each business has its own unique characteristics and requirements. Following an initial consultation, we will then provide a quote tailored to the individual needs of each business.

Whilst the majority of our clients are fairly local, geographic location is not usually an issue thanks to cloud based technologies, therefore we are able to offer our services nationwide.
