Accord Driving School

Since learning to drive with Accord- Tony, I’ve lost confidence in my driving and have become anxious behind the wheel. Here are some quotes from my instructor during my driving lessons “it was a nightmare”, “feel like I’ve told you this a thousand times”, “I don’t understand how your brain works” and further remarks along the lines of disappointment and disbelief at my mistakes. I never had problems like this with my last instructor and these constant remarks during the lessons has reduced my performance and increased my stress and anxiety. Otherwise Tony knows his stuff and I feel like if he was more supportive and empathetic during the lessons he would have been a great instructor for me. Apart from that I do not recommend. To confirm I had 4X2hr lessons with Tony.

Huge thanks to Tony Friday for being such a great instructor. I’d had about 20 lessons previously about 15 years ago so wasn’t a complete beginner but still Tony managed to get me to test standard with only 7 lessons and in a space of 4 weeks from start to a first time pass.

He is incredibly professional, a great communicator and perfectly balances discipline with humour, providing a thoroughly enjoyable yet efficient learning experience.

If you’re having trouble choosing an instructor/driving school then please do not waste your time with anybody else because Tony is by far the best man for the job!

I would like to thank everyone for the driving experience day at the Perranporth. I was really nervous about learning to drive and whether I was ready to learn at this stage. The instructors were passionate in supporting me to overcome my anxiety about this and gave me huge confidence to start driving, even going up to 40mph! This was my first ever time behind the wheel and Tammy taught me the basics and more comprehensive tasks, such as parallel parking and hill starts. Couldn't believe I was doing this within the first 2 hours of starting to drive. I found this easier as I didn't have to worry about being on the road with other traffic and could concentrate on driving. I am really excited to apply for my provisional license and start driving lessons, hopefully with Tammy as I got on well with her and she explained what to do clearly which made it easier to learn. She even kept her cool when we almost went into the hedge ! Thank you Accord, I will be in touch when my license arrives
