Absolute Ballroom

This is fantastic my wife and I (32 and 34) go here every week it’s for all ages of adults we are learning a great and fun skill while getting fitter! Everyone is really friendly it’s a community spirit. There are also annual trips we go on together. Highly recommend to anyone even those who might think dancing isn’t for them like I used to think!

As someone who had 2 left feet I never thought I would be able to dance. Well 6 months later I think I can safely say how wrong I was, all you need is a good teacher(s) who have patience and that certain ability to show you in the simplest way HOW to dance. Mel and Chris have both. We have learned so much and have had a fun time learning. A great way to spend a Sunday tea time. Absolutely brilliant. Come and give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Chris and Mel are so patient when explaining the steps of various ballroom and latin dance styles.
They make it a fun experience and even organise numerous events. We've learnt so much and always look forward to the next lesson !

Mel and Chris are professional, friendly teachers for both beginners and for more advanced dancers. We have had regular lessons over the last two years and our dancing has steadily improved. They are patient and encouraging always ready to help and give advice when it is needed. They also provide a social environment and we have met some lovely people. We have a laugh and a joke and everyone is very supportive of one another. Equal attention is given to both younger and older dancers. Mel and Chris also organize regular social events at a variety of venues. People are under no pressure to attend these events if they don't wish to do so. The dance lessons are also very good value for money. Tuition is always for a full hour and a person does not have to pay if they do not attend. This is unlike many other leisure activities. At present we cannot think of any ways that Mel and Chris could improve their business and therefore we would not hesitate but to recommend them. Keith & Val Taylor

We joined to learn the basics in ballroom dance and we feel that the beginners course not only help us to achieve a respectable level of dance, but also helped with our fitness level. We were always made to feel welcome. Thank you for all your advice and patience.
