A1 Kennels & Cattery

The owner has been charged under Modern Slavery legislation, the council has revoked their licence after police were called by a dog owner who was unable to get their dog back and when the police saw the state of the place - filthy kennels, hungry dogs in very poor condition. Wouldn't recommend it for a stuffed toy let alone a living animal !

Used it once and never again. Were not allowed to see the kennels beforehand as she kept making excuses. On collection we found out why. Dog was filthy, starving and clearly had no water. Was allpwedto chew through his lead and collar which she claimed 'just happens' and wouldn't replace. Food and toys returned with maggots in it so all had to be binned. On confronting the owner she tries to claim it was nothing to do with her yet she is responsible for all company tax returns. Tried to fob us off then finally offered us a refund but only if we removed all reviews (sounds like bribery to me)

been to collect my dog today from A1 Kennels & Cattery to find I don’t have a dog lead nor a face collar. I was informed that dexter had chewed his lead though the cage (which happens often with other dogs they care for which is what the owner told me) sorry but if this keeps happening why keep leaving the lead where they are.

She tried to send me away with dexter without a lead or face collar

she didn’t even offer to take the money off the £120 bill or replace the lead, as this is something that happens (which I understand it happens but if it keeps happening then the problem is your system) I told her I was not happy as they are not cheap the lead itself is £14.99 she took £10 off the bill didn’t tell me about the face collar been broken I’ve just seen this now…… which also cost £14.
what disgraceful behaviour and customer service😡 also the high scented talc thats on him to cover the dirty smell from the kennels
