Everything started well after ASE Design and Build had offered the lowest quote for the project. The first few elements of the project were completed on time and to an acceptable standard, unfortunately the low cost then became reflected in an increasingly low build quality, with bodging and making do becoming the default solution rather than taking the time to do things properly. The project overan by 4 months, not helped by Covid, but throughout this time communication was very poor and it became clear that their attention had moved on to a new project, leaving us constantly chasing them to get things finished.

ASE Design & Build completed a side return extension for us last summer. The project ran late by 6 weeks, the roof continues to leak despite some minor repair works being undertaken and we were presented with an 'additional works' invoice at the end of the project, despite nothing being mentioned during the build. Unfortunately, due to this experience I would not recommend ASE Design & Build.

ASE Design and Build completed a rear and side extension for us in 2019. Initially the works looked good but since completion, we have had a number of leaks at the front and side of the build. Despite asking them to fix this, the on-going issues remained.
He came around to complete patch up jobs, which never really seemed to work and eventually led to a deep mould infestation (see pictures). Ultimately, we had to pay for an independent surveyor to review the build and who stated the roof works were 'poor worksmanship'.
After following all the correct legal advice and timescales, we had to get a second company to fix up the poor work done by ASE and are currently in a court case to re-coup the money for this.

Marcus and his team of builders were exelent. Finished my loft conversion in Surbiton on time and in high standart. I'm very greatful for the service. I can't recommend enough.

It was a walk in the park comparing to some stories we heard. A.S.E. Team were on top of everything no matter what issues they came across. And there were few. They handled the project perfectly, kept to the budget, they overrun the project only by 3 days over the agreed schedule of works and quality of work was at the high level. We are very happy with our new extension and would surely recommend A.S.E. Design and Build to everyone.
