We are a family run business and are proud of our furniture restoration/repair work. There is something very rewarding about completing the restoration/repair of a piece of furniture and seeing the joy on your face when you see the improvement.

Furniture Restoration - Do you have a piece of antique furniture that needs some attention? We have the expertise and experience to refurbish your furniture to have that “well loved and cared for” appearance.

Furniture Repairs - If your furniture is more modern or perhaps a reproduction, we can repair that too. Talk to us about a free estimate and we will gladly collect and deliver for free upon acceptance of our estimate.

A family friendly business, A. E Booth & Son, was very professional and provided a high quality of workmanship. Offering good value for money they made an excellent job of mending a whole range of old pine furniture items that had been damaged/broken.

Old wardrobe transformed into beautiful mahogany bookcase

We asked Paul Day at AE Booth & Son to transform our Edwardian Mahogany wardrobe into a bookcase. We discussed the job and Paul was receptive to the idea. He has done a first-class job showing real quality of workmanship and skilful and clever use of the old wood. He delivered the beautiful finished piece earlier than expected. We are so delighted not to throw this old wardrobe away on to the mountain of old brown Victorian wardrobes. The bookcase will be an heirloom in our family.

On a number of items of furniture I was given the option of how to repair and improve them without being hard sold. Work was carried out to a very high standard and exceeded my expectations. I would consider them the go to people for any repairs in the future as they clearly have very in depth knowledge and ability to take what appears very used and make it as good if not better than new and at a reasonable cost

Excellent restoration of Victorian furniture

A simple phonecall lead to a quickly arranged visit where the work required, a restoration of a Victorian chest of drawers, was discussed,priced and the item taken away. Further contact over the provision of a set of handles was forthcoming as promised and within a very reasonable time period the chest of drawers was returned. The work was just as I would have wished and I was extremely pleased with result.
He even found time to adjust our dining room table to stop the abominable squeak at no extra cost.
If further furniture restotration is required this will be my first port of call.
