A & P Motors

I bought a car that came with 12 months MOT with no advisories. Took it for a service a few weeks later and it came back with a list of advisories as long as your arm - including several immediate MOT fails - they were shocked when I told them it passed its MOT a few weeks previously. Checked the MOT certificate and it was carried by these guys. No point taking the seller through small claims but I will be reporting A&P to VOSA, they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this.

Great garage! Just had my Van MOT done today and had a rust advisory. Was given great advice on the fix and clearly knew what they were talking about. Great service, great team of people, would highly recommend. Thank you so much.

We purchased a car from local car sales in Paignton they took it to A and P motors for an mot they passed the vehicle but 3 months later the rear subframe snapped with serious corrosion on 3 corners of the frame. No advisories we’re given so how on earth did they miss that after discussing it with them all I got was excuses about how it rusted from the inside and all the usual bull
You get from people like them when they have made a mistake. I have pictures of the subframe and any body can see it’s badly corroded but yet still no advisory’s given on the mot certificate.
We were very Lucky it didn’t snap on the motorway or we could be looking at a very different outcome. A and P motors just shrugged the shoulders its one of those things. Disgusting attitude after letting a dangerous vehicle on the road.

The Matter is not over I’m reporting them to vosa with all the evidence including RAC report and photos ect see if they shrug the shoulders then.

Poor dishonest service wouldn't recommend

I have used A&P motors for 12 years, always excellent customer service, very good prices and trustworthy. All you need in a local garage.
