Don't take your car here! Questionable business practices, if you value your car go elsewhere and for a better price

I recommend against using this garage, they broke a piece on my car and said it must have been that way when I took it in. They also use other customers cars to drive you to find where they parked it after they've broke it. Don't say I didn't warn you.

A&M Gearbox Services to the rescue!! My wife's semi-automatic Toyota Yaris gearbox was playing up. Toyota wanted £2,340 to repair the car, more than it was worth!! Living in Great Clacton I tried garages closer to home but once I explained it was a semi-automatic they were not interested. Looking further afield I came across A&M Gearbox Service. I spoke to Mark who right from the outset filled me with confidence that the car not only was repairable but at a reasonable cost. We left it there the Thursday before the August Bank Holiday weekend, with Mark informing me that other than the diagnostic testing no work would take place until it had been discussed. The communication was first class throughout. The car was repaired and ready for collection the following Wednesday at a cost of £876 almost two thirds cheaper than Toyota!! With a 12 month guarantee or 12000 miles, whichever came first, you cannot go wrong. So many thanks A&M Gearbox Services for a 5 star service.

I had an issue with the clutch on my car, took it to A&M Gearboxes who quickly diagnosed the problem. I arranged to leave the car with them a few days later. When I went to collect it, the problem had been fixed but without replacing the part and I was told that when a part does not need to be replaced it is not replaced, and so there was no charge. To date there has been no further sign of the problem at all. Very impressed.
