A* garage

Called them on Wednesday afternoon as my landrover was making a stranger noise than usual. I said I could bring it today (Friday) to be diagnosed at some point as they were busy. Dropped it off at 10 this morning, got a call an hour later. Wheel bearings. They replaced both fronts and I collected the car at 6. Faultless service and, added bonus, his wife is an extremely talented artist so picked up 2 Christmas presents too

Fantastic mechanic appreciation post

For many years now, I have taken the family cars to Alan and Alex for routine servicing, MOT's, repairs and general "my car is making a funny noise" type issues. They call and advise what's needed and how much it will be before doing any works and yes, Alan laughs at me for having a landrover (I laugh at myself for having a landrover) but he is an excellent mechanic with a fantastic set of minions working alongside him and I trust this garage with my pride and joy (Yes it's still a landrover....) and I can't recommend them highly enough. Down to earth, honest and, if it doesn't need doing, it doesn't get done. PS if you take chocolate biscuits, things happen faster....
