Business overview
Fourth generation family business. French Polisher for 38 years. Proficient and trained in Spray Lacquering, able to produce both modern and traditional finishes.
We are a fourth generation family of French Polishers. As well as serving my apprenticeship as a French Polisher some 38 years ago, I am also proficient and trained in Spray Lacquering, and therefore am able to produce both modern and traditional finishes. As well as undertaking domestic work, anything from touching up scratches on a piece of furniture to a complete colour change on anything eg. kitchen cabinet doors, I also work in the commercial sector, having contracted to companies such as, The Grand (Brighton), Holiday Inn, Gleneagles Hotel, Chem-dry, Mowlem, Midas and many more. I am fully insured up to 2 million pounds, and am a CSCS card holder.
I am able to work either on site, in your home, or can transport items to my workshop,

A.A Eddy & Son (Southern) French Polishers - An Exceptional Company
5Master craftsman providing fantastic kitchen refurbishment!
5Not for Mark to just replace the doors and drawer fronts as some companies offering ‘kitchen refurbishment’. Instead, he meticulously labeled all the doors, drawer fronts and vegetable baskets to take away to his workshop for stripping down and subsequently re-polished/painted. The in situ carcasses were stripped down by traditional methods – all to achieve getting a better, smoother silk-like finish - and avoiding sanding dust. And then hand painted with a fine brush.
Mark has truly been meticulous in his attention to detail. What a pleasure to see a skilled craftsman at work!
The result on our kitchen is just transformational – and much ‘greener’ solution rather than ripping out the existing kitchen out only to replace it with a new and “cheap” replacement.
I wholeheartedly recommend him for kitchen refurbishment, French polishing and renovating any piece of traditional furniture.
Thank you for your very kind comments. So glad that you are pleased with the result, and it was a pleasure working for you. Mark
