Attended a wedding here. The place has a grand atmosphere that would suit the taste of Inspector Morse. The service took place in one of the rear facing large windowed rooms. The rear ballastrade to the grounds was an excellent back-drop for the official photography. The reception and live band took place in the adjoining banqueting rooms with bar facilities. The service from the young waiting staff was well organised and they all looked to be enjoying their work. We had a meat starter with a medium done beef Wellington to follow. The sweet was as good as the chocolate strawberries after the service. The toilets were clean and pleasant. Parking was not a problem at the front of the hall. Some guests stopped over at £120 a night. They even had a light security presence to deal with anyone who might get a little excited ! Did I realy pay £17 for a sherry glass of prosecco and tumbler of elder juice ? Loverly place if you've a bob or two ! Would recommend though.
