5 Star Nails

I always use 5* nails. The attention to detail is excellent and the finish is always faultless. Lisa goes out of her way to remember your name. At times the service is a bit brusque (accommodating other walk in customers/having conversations in Vietnamese whilst doing your nails between technicians) but I can’t fault their quality and love using a local family business! No idea where these negative reviews have been, but it doesn’t sound like the place I go!

I had booked for my appointment and the lady was very rude, I didn’t get my nails done till around 3.30pm and then she rushed my nails. She didn’t like it when I spoke about the length and that they didn’t look nice and then followed me to the cash point and was rude to me shouting loudly.

I paid for my daughter to have her nails done for a treat after passing her GCSES. The nail varnish had come off after an hour of being done. Then today 3 days after having them done nails falling off. Absolutely disgusting for £28!

I started going here in January 2018. At first everything seemed ok and my nails looked lovely but when there busy they seem to rush and the finish doesn’t look particularly good. Also they used a nail drill on my nails which I wasn’t happy with has they took the Shellac off with this and the last time they took the Shellac off with a nail drill they have completely ruined my nails which now keep cracking and breaking all the time and I can’t wear Shellac/polish any more.
I wouldn’t recommend this nail salon to anyone. Stay clear.

I tried 5 star nails as infinity was very busy and I needed my nails to be done. I was very specific about wanting colour changing polish. Once on the polish did not change colour. The whole place, tools and bowls used were dirty. I ended up with polish leaked into cuticles and down the side of my nails, a colour that I had not asked for and my nails roughly filed square when I had asked for rounded. I tried to explain that I would at least like the cuticles and sides of the nails fixed. By this time the shop was full of customers and the lady shouted at me saying "you choose the colour not me!" repeating herself. Feeling very humiliated I left and will never be returning. I feel that my nails would have looked better if I had done them myself. Stay away from this place they are terrible at their job and extremely rude.
