ORIENTAL FOOD WITHOUT THE CEREMONY
288 Bar & Wok is a family run Chinese noodle bar. It takes a more casual approach to dining. What you won’t find are waiters in bow ties, table cloths, wine glasses and traditional Chinese music chiming out. Instead you’ll be welcome to a dining room with long table and benches, an open kitchen and stunning art on the walls.
Our menu is extensive and contains all the favourites but also Chinese roasted meats, deep plates of fiery wok fried noodles and steaming bowls of noodle soup. We have a selection of street food for enjoying as either a starter or as an accompaniment. Our bar is well stocked with premium spirits and a wide selection of oriental beers.
Whenever possible we buy from local suppliers and direct from the producer. When in season, our pak choi is grown on our family farm only 12 miles away, our free range eggs are from a farm 15 miles away and our favourite ale is brewed 2 miles up the road.
The atmosphere is always vibrant and busy. We’re perfect for a night out!
