My door key became stuck in the lock. I called the locksmith and I was given an ETA, then a further call to confirm that someone would be with me within 15 minutes. Within 90 minutes of my call, the job was done - new lock required - and I was really pleased with the service, professionalism and speed of response.

I called these guys out to unlock a front door that had become jammed.The guy said he would have it opened quickly.What he didnt tell me was he would break the door doing this.He admitted liabilty gave me his insurance details and left.However when I tried to claim the cost of new door he denied liability.The call centre refused to answer any questions saying they had been "told not to speak to me".I sent various letters to the lock smith,the office,his insurance company but unfortuanely I have been left to cover the costs myself.It transpires they are not located at this address.They employ lock smiths as self employed contractors so it is a lucky dip as to whether you get one who actually knows what he is doing.They are not local there offices are not in the west midlands.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I have used Sheldon 24 Hour Locksmith for years and have always felt they do a great job. Recently I used them to break open some old file cabinets in an office I rented. They explained to me that they weren't breaking open the file cabinets but just the lock and if I ever wanted to replace it.

I was locked out this weekend after a crazy night out with some friends.
