1st Homewell Scouts

Havant United Reformed Church, North St, Havant, PO9 1PP Directions

Business overview

1st Homewell Scouts is based in Havant, Hampshire and currently has one Beaver Colony, one Cub Pack and one Scout Troop. All three sections meet on a Friday evening.

We run full and active meetings, following the Scout programme and method, with Scouts regularly gaining their Chief Scouts Awards - Beavers: Bronze, Cubs: Silver, Scouts: Gold.

1st Homewell was born as a Scout group 16 years ago with the merger of 2nd Havant and 1st Warblington Scout Groups, our links with both the United Reform Church and Warblington area date from this time. We celebrate that history and continue to have links with the communities of central Havant and Warblington.

The Group meet together regularly, to foster joint cooperation and encourage learning and working together across the age groups, this also eases transition between the sections.

As a Group we camp together once a year, the Cubs and Scouts camp more frequently. Scouts have the opportunity to take part in at least five camps every year, including district and county wide events.

We are all cleared to work with Children via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), and operate to the Scouts "Young People First" code of practice.
