Putting a stripped paper horizontal is the modern way and makes the room look larger and the strips not look so busy as it would of if hanged vertically as normal
Firstly the wall was prepared and lined with a decent 1200 grade to create the perfect smooth background for the wallpaper as these walls was not in a perfect smooth condition and plastering was unnecessary and not cost effective.

I would highly recommend Paul for any decorating job. First class by name and first class workmanship. Paul will not settle for anything other than perfection and pride in his work. Not only that, but he is a really nice man, and it has been a pleasure to have him working in our house. The fact that he has a long waiting list says it all.

Perfect finish on a newly plastered ceiling

Second time using Paul to decorate for us. After painting our kitchen ourselves we found it impossible to get a finish on the newly plastered ceiling that wasn't patchy. Paul fitted us in quickly between other jobs to repaint the ceiling for a perfect finish. We wish we had just booked Paul to do it in the first place and next time we will! We will be recommending 1st Class Painting and Decorating to our family and friends

Paul was extremely helpful and professional, right from quote to completion. We hired Paul to paint the upstairs of our home – 3 x bedrooms and a bathroom – and along with painting he also did a lot of prep work to get the walls ready. Communication was great throughout, the finish was excellent, and we look forward to working with him again in future.
