We are registered and approved DVSA Instructors. We can help and advise on all aspects of driver training and we tailor each lesson to your specific needs.
We offer driving lessons in both manual and automatic cars. Our experienced instructors go the extra mile to help you pass your test, we also offer refresher training to get you used to an automatic if you’re unfamiliar, a pass plus course in an automatic car as well as lessons in adapted vehicles. Whichever service you’re looking for, we operate a policy whereby you will only have one driving instructor from beginning to end. That way they will know what you need to work on and will make sure you get the most from your automatic lessons or course.

I wanted to learn how to drive to make travel to my new job easier and more flexible , after learning with a different company my confidence was knocked. I found 1st castle when searching for automatic . I was given mike as my instructor and I can't recommend him enough , he is patient , knowledgable, funny and puts you at ease straight away

1st Castles professional yet friendly approach helped me get to my first time pass! My instructor obviously was the biggest help and without her i never would have passed. Thanks again Jo!

Steve Pearce got me to feel confident in myself and my driving. He taught with so much patience, encouragement and also a lot of fun, which really helps relax those nerves. At the age of 34, I really believed I’d struggle to pass my test but I did, first time! All thanks to Steve - forever grateful for you teaching me and for even using a couple hours out of your weekend to squeeze extra lessons in! THANK YOU!! See you soon for PassPlus! Haha! :)

Passed first time.

Steve peirce was my 4th instructor ive had, and within a few months steve got to place where I was ready for my test. I passed my test first time with no minors. He is a patient and friendly instructor, after a few lessons with steve , we both made a decision that manual drive was not for me, so he got a automatic car, and straight away I was more relaxed. He coached me through everything I needed. He went above and beyond to make sure I passed my test. I can't say thank you enough times. Once again thank you Steve

I passed first time yesterday and cried with happiness with only 7 minors.
I just won’t to say a big thank you, to Justin at First Castle Cars, for believing in me and not giving up on me, I suffered with low self esteem and a lack of confidence with driving. Justin made me feel at ease and gave me the confidence to believe I could pass.
