To answer the above review this customer bought several litres of fluid because his car steering system was already leaking. I suggested that this got worse when the system was re-pressurised with the new fluid. We gave him a full refund of the fluid purchased as a goodwill gesture.

We try to offer all of our customers the best service we can.

Dtour is not a mechanic and from comment is pretty thick as if you brought meat from a shop and cooked it wrong who's fault is it not the shops dtour wasn't badly treated at all I have been using first call for years and thay are helpful and kind and go out there way to sort you out he dtour is a idiot driving a big car with no ideah of how it works

Poorly treated
My Range Rover vogue needed power steering fluid and so I bought some from 1st call.
The lad who served me was polite and seemed efficient. He stated that some vehicles needed a special fluid and he looked mine up on his computer, but found that ordinary fluid was okay. After adding this fluid to my car's reservoir I drove it, but after about a quarter of a mile the steering became almost solid. Upon opening the bonnet I discovered that a pipe had blown off the steering oil cooler and the entire contents of the system had sprayed all over the engine bay!
The system had to be flushed, and then refilled with the CORRECT SPECIAL fluid by a Range Rover agent.
When I returned to 1st call the chap who had served me agreed that he had made the check, and yet despite that the manager couldn't accept it at face value, apologise and give a refund for the useless fluid, which was all I really wanted.
Instead he inferred that it couldn't have happened, that main agents were inclined to 'making things up' and finally his attitude was that what had happened was 'just one of those things'.
A refund on the fluid seemed about as far as it eventually went. No admission that they had made a mistake. No apology! No matter that I had needed to have the engine and under bonnet cleaned, and steering system flushed.
Maybe they should change their name from 1st call to last resort.
