I could write a very simular reference as to what the gentleman wrote above, he quoted me a fixed price to install a roof window a Velux, but he fiddled me on a far cheaper version stating that that was he always fitted. The roof was opened and the roof window was installed and tiles replaced and cut all wrong. The window leaked and leaked but he refused to come back and fix it, in the end from non answered calls I gave up and couldn't have any more water inside so we called a creditted roofer that came with high qualifications, on looking at the roof he said that all the tiles around the window were cut wrong, well that was the start. He opened up the roof around the window to find that half the flashings were missing or just nailed in place whilst the window its self had the flashings torn off in the original installation. My new roofer fitted a proper Velux window with a blind and never had one drop of water in dispite the rain we have had beating upon it. We will take him to court.

DREADFUL

Unfinished and faulty work, slippery customer relations, terrible communication. 'Insurance backed' and '20 year guarantee' utterly meaningless and untrue. Have been removed from the Confederation of Roofing Contractors. Do not trust Wallace Sharpless.

Our flat roof is like a patchwork quilt, leaks through the electrics and has caused a growing crack in our ceiling.

Quote included “fix/replace defective guttering”, but several guttering points remain untouched, defective and leaking. Some ‘repairs’ consisted of a squirt of mastic into the joins. Has been promising to address the unfinished work and leaking roof for 10 months now. He never shows or calls, a variety of excuses too long to list, blaming his workmen, bad knee, family problems, broken phone, the weather etc, never calls, doesn't respond to texts. When I suggested he was lying and had no intention to come, he became offensive. I'm considering small claims court now.
