Yell.comCameras which allow you to monitor homes and businesses from remote locations have been released by EyeSpy247.

The IP cameras use broadband routers to create an alarm gateway and remote video monitoring.

Users of the devices have immediate control when an intruder alert is issued by email or SMS.

Images and videos recorded by the cameras can be checked to see exactly what the alert is, then police, friends or neighbours can be called.

The indoor cameras work with Windows, Linux and Macs and do not need to be connected to a PC to function.

EyeSpy247ptz has the same features as the EyeSpy247F+ mentioned above and additions such as the ability to tilt, night vision LEDs and body heat motion detection.

Writing on blog TechCrunch, Jason Calacanis said he had already installed six IP-based cameras at home and plans to add more.

The blogger said he uses the devices to monitor his child’s sleeping habits.

Like Jason I’ve used various types of IP cameras in the past but none have been as easy to setup and use as these.

I was impressed by their build and also image quality and have just added a couple to my existing collection of cameras…only thing is now my own home feels like the set of BB :)
