When it comes to bedroom furniture and storage, no other item perhaps causes as much grief as the humble shoe.

I must own at least 20 pairs – including flats, high heels and boots – but they’re all over the place, with some still in their boxes under the bed, others at the bottom of my tiny wardrobe and more still just lying around on the floor.

Sadly, I don’t have a hallway, so I can’t install a rack there to stash my footwear away. And there isn’t much room either in my combined living room and kitchen.

So what are the options for those of us who live in tiny properties? I could try to find a storage solution that doesn’t take up much room but has plenty of space for my beloved shoes.

I recently came across this shoe wheel from Tszuji, which stores up to 30 pairs of shoes. It could be ideal, as long as I can find a corner to put it in!

However, that doesn’t solve the boot dilemma – they’re too big to put in the wheel. I’ve found boot racks that are basically a row of vertical poles you hang your boots upside down on, so that might be a good purchase.

But again, there’s the question of where to put it!
