Bask in the energising elements of nature

Glyn<br /> WilliamsSome animals, birds and bugs hibernate in the winter months and, as the spring appears, they tend to emerge from their cloistered environments and indulge in freedom of movement. We, as human beings, also need to stretch our limbs more as the seasons change.

In the Chinese Health System of Movement, they recommend doing specific Chi Kung exercises as a way of helping the body adapt to the environmental differences in the seasons. Other approaches suggest that general Chi Kung exercises work as well in helping the body and its systems adapt to the changes around it.

We can all conclude that movement of some kind is good for our well being, despite the circumstances and environment we find ourselves in. So, as the weather is becoming friendlier and the sun is shining more, venture out more from your houses and offices and bask in the energising elements of nature.

It is easy to use excuses like: I’m too old; not enough time;my back hurts;too much to do – to prevent us getting a little more exercise in the day. People forget that we energise ourselves through movement, and movement helps metabolise food; this, in combination with the increased circulation of oxygen, helps create energy.

Money is a resource everybody would like more of – it allegedly gives us freedom to enjoy life more, invest in our future and potentially develop our interests. Energy is an equally important resource that people should, but sometimes forget, to value in their lives. Just like financial savings, which we can build on and which in turn give us interest, our energy bank needs to be invested wisely in some form of exercise routine to give us a healthy return in the form of long term fitness and stamina.

So, as they say in business, it is not by staying at home but by taking strategic, concerted action in the market place that results are achieved. If you are not already doing so, take the first step forward in a tactical course of action to help you develop increased levels of energy as a way of maintaining or developing your health even more.
