Grange Park isn't to be confused with...
... Grange Park Opera, which stages operatic performances at venues in Hampshire and Leicestershire. Nor should you mix it up with Far Grange Park in Yorkshire or La Grange Park in the US state of Illinois.

Grange Park is a golfer's paradise
Unsurprisingly for an area with this name, Grange Park isn't short of open space. Much of it is taken up by two large golf courses—Enfield Golf Club and Bush Hill Park Golf Club. The course at the latter boasts two large lakes and woodland—enough hazards to keep the keenest golfing enthusiast happy.

Grange Park has a church in an orchard
Designed by CJ Brightiff in the 1930s, Grange Park's Church in the Orchard is an Art Deco building. This Methodist place of worship has been described as the best example of Art Deco architecture in the country.

A listed tunnel in Grange Park
Running underneath Grange Park is the remarkable Clarendon Arch and Tunnel. It carries Salmon's Brook under the New River. This barrel-vaulted structure was built in 1680 and is Grade II listed.

Grange Park's artificial river
The 400-year-old New River starts in Hertfordshire and flows into north London. In Grange Park it used to flow over Salmon's Brook (see previous entry) in a 202 m long (666 ft) lead-lined wooden aquaduct. This was replaced by a brick arch in 1682.

A water tower in Grange Park
More water-related trivia. The water tower on the Bush Hill Park estate is now a private house.

A commuter's paradise
Trains from Grange Park run into Moorgate and King's Cross stations in central London. It's in London's Zone 5, so Grange Park residents can use a Travelcard to get in and out of the centre of town.

A taste of Italy
Like most London suburbs, Grange Park has a wide range of restaurants offering cuisine from all over the world. Visitors with a taste for pasta and pizza are particularly well served—local guides list a large number of Italian eateries in the area.
