This was a fantastic evening endured in the U N I. chicken jalfrezi was set to a certain specification and was met precisely, my request was to have a hot jalfrezi and my partner's medium! No other Indian restaurant in Liverpool would serve the food to exactly how we wanted it Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Liverpool by a country mile! Certainly recommend it!Report this

Three friends and I went here on 16/12/12 - been going here for ages. Meals not very hot - I ordered a chicken jalfraizi [hot] but it was anything but. Saag aloo was awful - potatoes not cooked. Mentioned this and the response was 'the cheff will do better next time'. Well, there won't be a 'next time'. Uni has really diminished in standard and quality of food. Avoid this place at all costs.Report this

Three friends and I went here on 16/12 - been going here for a while. My hot chicken jalfreizi was tasteless as were the meals my friends ordered. The sag aloo was ruined by the uncooked potatoes. When mentioning this the reply was that the chef 'would do better next time'. Well, there won't be a 'next time'. Avoid this place at all costsReport this

I got a take away from Uni on the basis of all the good reviews I read. It was utterly VILE. I got the Cha Chas King Prawn Special and I could not eat it. The sauce had absolutely no taste to it and the prawns tasted very fishy eeewww. Husband got Lamb Jalfrezy and that lacked any sort of heat and was equally as bland. NEVER AGAIN :(Report this

This place is by far the best Indian in liverpool. I have been coming here for over 20 years and not once had a bad meal. The cubicles are a great idea and allows you to have privacy in this busy restaurant. My favourite is the King Prawn Special on the specials menu not to be had anywhere else - amazing!!Report this

great curry house, love the cubicles, even better is the waiters face when they have to open and close them all the time. A wonderful gimmick. the curry's are great though and reasonably priced. They do a special one that is chicken and beef...i think, sorry can't remember the name but it is good and not found anyplace else. Staff are really hospitable and friendly. The only bad thing about this place is i am not too keen on their meat samosa's. They are massive compared to other places, so at first you are like "wow, check this out", but alas it has something not quite right about it, i get the feeling it has been cooked a while ago and been re-heated. the rest of the food is A1 though. The place is well situated on Renshaw street ( Rapid st). Usually quite good for parking...all the pay and displays stop at 6 o clock so it is free to park.Report this
