I called yesterday to book a taxi for a train station run. I was told that 30 minute before departure would be enough and it would arrive at 8am. My girlfriend promptly received a text confirming time. At 8:10 this morning the taxi hadn't arrived so we called Trent to ask where it was, only to be told that we should have allowed at least 45 minutes before departure and that we would get a taxi when one was in our area!! The taxi eventually arrived with 15 minutes before the train left and my girlfriend only just managed to catch the train due to the kindest of a man who helped with her bags. Trent Cars clearly have no interest in their customers and should be avoided!Report this

I was using their service for some time and it seemed okay but today i had a very horrible experiance. I had pre-boked a cab in the afternnoon to pick me up at 3:20 pm and drop me at the station. I personaly asked them being a friday will 3:20 pm be a okay time? They told me yes plenty of time so no need to worry.When i didn't see a cab at 3:23 pm i gave them a call and was told the cab is on its way and will be there in 5 min and if not give a call back.. well i waited for more than five minutes and then again called back when i pushed and asked where the cab was i was told it had not yet started.. great.. My train was at 4:00 so i started walking to the office main gate with my bags, called and told them that i was walking towards the gate and to meet me on the way so i can try and catch my train, Well what do you know the driver still took time to reach as i found out the driver was given the job at 3:45 pm only and after that he went to the wrong gate. Finally after waiting and calling multiple times i got into the cab at 4:05 pm by which time my trian had left. I asked them are they going to reimburce my train ticket first i got an update thatwe need 24 hr written notice.,, then i asked for what and you had confirmed the cab booking for me on phone that too more than 2 hours earlier so why did i not get my cab on time and the answer was we were busy.. so i asked why didn't u call and update me in the first place in case u didn't have a cab so that i could look for alternatives.. I had to just throw my first calss advance tickets and buy new tickets that costed me more that my first class advanced tickets.Based on my experiance i will warn everyone not to use their service as they are totally unreliable and further just keep on lying to you with no concern about the customerReport this

Have always used them until just recently.The first problem we had was with an 8.30pm booking when the driver turned up at 8 and expected us to be ready. When I told him to come back at the booked time he then asked whether we could go at 8.15. Today, however was the last straw. I have just had an operation and need physiotherapy, so I booked a car in plenty of time to get me to my appointment. and around an hour an a half before I needed it.The booked time came and went and I was getting anxious so I phoned them only to be told they had no cars in my area and couldn't give me a time - they obviously have loads of business because they couldn't be bothered with me. There are other firms in Nottingham who I will be using in futureReport this

Trent cars is one company that I will call most of the time when I am in need of a taxi from anywhere. They are available most of the time and can provide a taxi even at the most busy of times. Fares are reasonable, minimum fare starting at £2.70 but this is offset against the number of miles it amounts to before further charges are added. Phone staff are always polite and if there are any problems, they tend to deal with them efficiently and quickly. When the taxi arrives at your door, the company will send you an automated call to the number you used to let you know they are outside. Good service!Report this
