Classical Pilates is a non modified, original form of Pilates. It takes many months of practice, teaching and study before you finally qualify. This includes an in depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to allow the teacher to have a better understanding of how the body works.
The benefits to anyone doing regular classes include preventing back pain, correcting poor posture, building strength and stamina, improving coordination and balance and sculpting the abdominal area. Pilates can also correct imbalances and is extremely effective in addressing sciatica, scoliosis and lower back pain.
The classical method is for all ages and fitness types. It is safe for seniors, as its low impact on joints and is used by dancers and athletes looking for core strength and flexibility to prevent injury.
I have been interested in fitness for many years. I run, swim and cycle. After having children I suffered from severe back pain and tried Pilates with amazing results.
