I HAVE BEEN HERE HUNDREDS OF TIMES & EACH TIME IT GETS WORSE...THE BOUNCERS ARE OVER AGGRESSIVE IDIOTS WHO HAVE CHUCKED ME OR MY FRIENDS OUT EVERY TIME I'VE BEEN THERE FOR NO REASON OVER 10 YEARS, I HAVE BEEN SHORT CHANGED HERE BEFORE TOO, & THE TOILETS ARE TERRIBLE. I HAVE FINALLY HAD ENOUGH. SAVE YOUR MONEY, PARTY AT HOME OR GO ROCK CITY OR RESCUE ROOMS. THIS CLUB IS NONSENSE.Report this

With its popular alternative music, cheap drinks and its sparing, unpretentious decoration The Cookie Club is famed for the large indie crowds it pulls in. Every night of the week has a different theme upstairs and downstairs, so there is something for everyone. The main disadvantage of The Cookie Club is its size. On Wednesdays and other busy nights it becomes impossible to dance and is just sweaty and uncomfortable. The music is always well-chosen and DJ's at the club are friendly and receptive to song requests. Definitely worth a visit, but get there early to stake out some space because on busy nights it fills up fast!Report this

When I was a student I would have loved this place. Having left University over 5 years ago now I really didn't think this place was that great. If your thing is sticky floors and plastic pint glasses then this place is for you a good place to drink and dance in a student type way. I can imagine that I'd enjoy this sort of place on a stag do. The club did, however, offer a good variety of different music on the night I went with different sounds on each floor 80s/ 90s etc.Report this
Simply the best

I've been to plenty of rock clubs in Nottingham, Britain and even New York but this is definitely my favourite. Unpretentious, great mix of music and cheap. People are there to dance and have fun, not be cliquey morons and also there's no pretentious dress code - jeans and trainers are fine. Also they tend to give free lollipops as you enter, which is nice! It's right in the city centre and across the road from a Wetherspoons. I'm most familiar with the Wednesday (student) night. I have to admit I preferred it in the past when it was one floor indie/rock/emo/punk and one floor pop/cheese - but only because they've now seperated out indie/rock and emo/punk (no cheese at all anymore), which makes for some really hard decisions!Report this
Dance Dance Dance!

The Cookie Club is a great for those who just wanna dance all night long with a crowd that’s totally unpretentious and with no inhibitions about having fun on the dance floor! This club attracts a very friendly, happy crowd of youngsters (teens-mid 20s) with several dance floors playing different music. I’ve only been on Friday and Saturday nights but EVERY time I go, it’s always heaving with people up and dancing – all having a great time. No posers propping up the bar here! Service at the several bars in the club is always surprisingly fast and efficient...some good cheapish drink offers too!Report this
