What I like right off the back was their warm smile and friendliness. I being a vegetarian wanted to preview the menu before committing to dine there and they were very happy to oblige. It has a nice cosy ambience. The waiters are very friendly and good at explaining your options. My meal was delicious. I had the vegtn. sweetcorn soup and vegtn spring rolls as starters. the soup had great flavour and the rolls was crispy but not oily at all. My main course was Tofu in black beans sauce with broccoli and noddles. The presentations colour, and portions are great. And the best bit is your food stays hot, (hot plate warmers on table)so your first mouthful is just a hot as your last one. For dessert lemon/cchessebiscuit/ nice. just enough. and the meal was very good value for money. I plan to go return this week. Thank you for letting me share my experience.Report this

I went to the Peking for their express lunch, this consists of a starter, main and dessert for £6 so it's very good value. We were seated quickly and well served throughout, we just had tap water to drink which was no problem. It's downfall was it's food, while it wasn't bad I wouldn't want to go back. My starter of wontons turned out to be three small prawns in greasy crispy pastry, although the prawns were nice enough I left a pile of pastry on my plate. for the main I had a chicken stir fry and noodles this is served on separate plates, the stir fry chicken came in a thick jelly like sauce which wasn't particularly pleasant and the noodles were very greasy. It all tasted OK but I could do better at home. For dessert I had fruit salad, this had clearly come out of a tin so tasted fine but I would have expected them to make their own. Overall it was OK but I will try somewhere else next time.Report this
