Awful company to deal with

If I could give them no stars I would. I bought a motorbike from them in July of this year and not only did it break down on the way home, but several times after this Two RAC callouts later and still no closer to a solution, I called Robinson's to come pick the bike up for repair which they said was fine, and yet they didn't turn up. When I called them back, I was told the driver wouldn't be coming because he'd "probably gone home". Several calls later I was no closer, so I went back in person to ask them to take the bike back and cancel off the finance that I'd taken out. Speaking to the finance company, all Robinson's had to do was send them a letter-headed request saying that they would take the bike back and give the finance company the money back, but Robinson's said this was wrong and it was up to the finance company to do all the chasing. I got the ball rolling myself, sent Steve - the manager - an email as requested stating what I wanted to happen, and he said he would contact his area representative for Black Horse. A couple of weeks later I was still waiting to hear back so I called Steve again, to be told that he was waiting to hear back off the rep still. Not happy with this, I contacted Black Horse myself and raised a complaint, which was dealt with swiftly. They arranged for Robinson's to come and pick the bike up to have a look at it, which was nearly a month ago now, and after hearing nothing back, I contacted the finance company again. They were very confused to hear that I hadn't been contacted by Robinson's since they took the bike back and said they would get them to call (to which I was sceptical because trying to get them to call back is impossible). As you can guess, this callback never happened, so after another call to the finance company, I finally got this resolved in the form of a letter stating the full report, most of which was about repairs they'd never done, and saying the result of the fault was due to the bike not being used (which is wrong, the only reason I haven't been able to use the bike is because of the fault, not the other way around). The complaint is very nearly resolved with zero help from Robinson's, I just wanted to warn Rochdale and the rest of Manchester about dealing with Robinson's, and to do their research beforehand as I wish I had done.Report this

I bought a bike this year and found out it had no warranty. After contacting robinsons over a period of 1 month, many many phone calls, I was told each time that I would be called back.....never happened and I had to call them, got pushed from pillow to post with no help. Had oil leak, this is a brand new bike!!!! Now warning lights on and they still can't tell me if it has a warranty!!! They keep saying they will find out and call me but never do. Do not buy from this companyReport this
