This taxi company has been consistently rude to me whenever I have used them. Tonight I waited 35 minutes for the taxi we booked. When I rang to complain instead of an apology I was told that 'there was no point in talking to him because if the drivers asked someone if they were *my name* then they couldn't be held responsible for picking up the wrong person'. I replied 'well I think you've addressed the problem yourself there, as clearly the taxi driver should be asking the person 'who they are waiting for?' rather than the other way around'. I was told rather rudely that he was 'going to go now' and hung up on me. When I rang back and asked for an apology he told me 'he's apologised to the MAN that rang up originally', so there was 'no need' to apologise to me (despite the fact i'd been the person waiting for the last 35 minutes!) The gender of the person that rang on behalf of me really shouldn't be relevant! When my (male) friend rang them back to complain about the way i'd been treated he was politely told that I was 'having a go' at him (an exaggeration at best, a downright lie at worst) and was instructed to inform Radiocabs on the next Tuesday if we had a complaint to make. This episode has ruined my evening and disgusted me, firstly because I am shocked that any company's customer service can be so appalling and secondly that any company can be that transparently and blatantly sexist. I am determined to share my experience and make sure that Radiocabs realises the disgusting way it treats its customers.Report this
