I use this vet as i live locally, but after taking my dog due to him not eating+generally being unhappy, was given a blood test which came back clear, then another blood test at an extra cost, vet said she would ring me with results, she never.i kept phoning+was told she hadnt had chance to look at them.still never heard anything so i rang again, her day off.locum standin vet rang later that day results came back clear.took my dog to see this vet+she didnt know what was wrong with him either! im desperate with worry at this point so i switched vets to Tollbar Vets.straight away they did an ultrasound+found hes got cancer,im devastated.Petmedic vets didnt have a clue.useless.ive wasted £170+time.Im now hoping Tollbar vets can save my boyReport this

I have had Jill as my pets vet since she started as mobile vet, cant praise her enough. Got hamster, cat and 2 dogs. All animals have had problems at one time or another, all sorted without issue. found prices reasonable for the standard things. when dog needed emergency tgreatment he was straight in and seen to. she went all out when i found a stray dog, she took it in in the end when owner couldnt be traced. i have dogs and cat insured so even tho i have to pay monthly (its not a lot!) I dont get the big bills afte surgery etc. no hassles with it. I think that jill is a very good vet, would definatley recommend to anyone.Report this
Still problems after a big bill!!

I took my pet to the surgery after getting quotes as it was the cheapest! It definately proves cheapest is not the best as it seem all that has happened is that the problem has only been half sorted. When I explained my pet still had the same problem I brought him in with she did not offer a free check up she stipulated, 'I will have to charge for consultation'. After I explained I could not afford even more pet bills due to my circumstances she fobbed me off telling me to try and get help from a charity. I would say pay that little bit extra for a job well done and don't go for the cheapest option!! BIG MISTAKE and a costly one at that.Report this

I first used Pet Medic because I was physically unable to get my dog to the Vet and he was not ill enough to warrant a home visit. This Vet started out as purely mobile but she now has a Clinic in Adwick. She still does home visits though as she recognises that getting an animal to the Vets can be stressful for all concerned and that a Waiting Room isn't always the best place for a distressed animal. I have visited the Clinic and had home visits. On both occasions I was struck by how personable the Vet was with my pet. In the past I find the Vetinary Nurses seem to connect with the animals whilst the Vet remains a little aloof...not this one. As Vets go, you get the usual array of things at the Clinic and on that basis alone, it's not better or worse than any other Vets. But it's the service that makes this one stand out. Friendly, helpful and sympathetic and not above some wry humour where it is appropriate. And if I feel happy and comfortable then this must transmit to my dog too.Report this
