I went into the office in Royton for divorce advice. The man I saw was very late to see me, impatient and took a call on his mobile during the meeting. I was really annoyed but he seemed oblivious and was really unprofessional. This was the last thing I wanted to hear when I needed advice about my divorce. I had used them before in the past but I will never use them again. I went to a firm in Oldham instead that were far more professional.Report this

I used Mellor & Jackson to carry out the conveyancing for the purchase & sale of a property. At all times I found the lady carrying out the conveyancing responded to my enquires in a timely manner & even manage to resolve a number of unexpected issues along the way & all within 5 weeks & at a very competitive price. Highly recommended & would use again.Report this
Help when I needed it

When my mum died I needed someone to help me with all the paperwork as I didn't know where to start. They took all the hassle away by dealing with everything which was such a big relief. If I ever need a solicitor again, they will be my first choice.Report this
Very poor service

We used this solicitor to witness a form required by the bank as the result of a bereavement. We had been quoted a fee of £5 for this service on the telephone but was actually charged £10. The solicitor witnessing the form was unfriendly, unhelpful and very surly. Given the fact that my mother is 80 years old and had only lost her husband three days ago a little customer service would have gone a long way!!Report this
