La Tasca, Good If You Enjoy Tapas
04/11/2010 by granchez
La Tasca, been here a few times, they often advertise on the back of the cinema tickets, so its worthwhile keeping a look out for those, as it becomes so much more attractively priced, you can mix and match and share with others, staff are helpful at recommending dishes, which i think is important if you aren't used to tapas.Report this

La Tasca has become a popular destination over the years either for a quick bit to eat before catching a movie or a place to get everyone together and enjoy some great food and drink. Prices are very reasonable and service is always top class.Report this

Viva espanyaaaaaaaaaaa! OLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We visited La Tasca today and had a wonderful experience. The meet and greet wasnt to jovial, nor overly formal.... we were seated right away (at 130pm on a busy Saturday afternoon)., they had brilliant deals on. There were three in our party, so we ordered 2 of the 5 dishes for £10 lunch menu... so basically, we got everything off the lunch menu (and a coupleof others of the standard menu too!!) The food arrived promptly, it was hot and delicious! I throrougly recommend the Fried Potatoes with Spicy Tomato Sauce, Aubergines and the Chicken & Mushroom in white wine.... infact everything was delicious. The Jug of WooWoo is delicious!!!! :) Xx The only down side - and it was a tiny thing was that 2 of the ungrateful guests of the restaurant decided to smoke right outside the front door, and the smell whaffted in... if i had one point to make - its that they should have been moved away from the door by the staff! it was particularly busy day and it was windy and rainy today, but people should smoke at the designated point away from the front door! We were just paying our bill, so were just leaving, none the less., it wasnt very nice :( Otherwise, we had a brilliant visit, food, ambience and service SUPERB!!!! we will definately go back!!!Report this

Good restaurant with lovely food at reasonable prices. have to admit I'm not an expert on this style of cooking...so can't judge whether it's close to authentic cooking or not but I thoroughly enjoyed it anyway. Only criticism..... it's not big enough! Bit crowded but then it's busy all the time and that's a good advert for quality and service...so can't complain too much! service was with a smile and prompt. No problems. Easy access in heart of city...... no complaints and would happily go again when I'm up thereReport this
La Tasca Glasgow City Centre

I agree with previous reviewer, this Spanish Tapas Restaurant is far better than Cafe Andaluz and the patatas bravas are amazing. Would love the recipe if anyone is reading this????!!!!! Only downfall is that it is always really busy so go early to get a table or book in advance - not really a downfall, just goes to show how great the place is. If you register on their website the are currently giving you £5 off and will regularly email you offers. I just received a voucher for 50% off. If you feel like going out and pretending your on holiday, this is the place to go!Report this
Chain tapas but still good
24/08/2008 by mespinheiro
La Tasca is a chain restaurant but it still serves good food at a good price. The place gets very busy most nights so it is worth trying to book a table or get there early. I think even though this is a chain restaurant it is much better than the other Tapas restaurant in Glasgow city centre, Cafe Andaluz. The service is efficient and there are all the old tapas favourites on the menus such as patatas bravas. Check out their website for good offers. At lunchtime they guarantee service within 15 minutes (I think). This is cheap tasty fast food.Report this
