Good gym, parking expensive

Main problem with this place is once you have paid for parking then entrance to the leisure centre and your activity it ends up being expensive, if u start using more than once a week it can add up. The traffic is also a nitemare at peak times!Report this
Nice Swimming Pool

I have visited Kelsey Kerridge a number of times mainly to swim and have to say that particular facility is good. One of the largest main pools in cambridge with a propoer diving pool too. I have also used the gym a couple of times and it has a very good free weights area...mostly pay as you go type thing but they offer memberships too.Report this

Not open until 9 AM?? I recently visited Kelsey Kerridge fitness and used a guest pass at this gym. The facilities were acceptable and the location was great for me, but I was shocked to learn they do not open until 9 am and have no intention to change that policy. Do they not realize that some of us have jobs and like to exercise in the morning? It would cost so little for them to have one or two staff on duty just to open up the place earlier so that customers could exercise in the early morning hours. But they just don't seem to care. Every other gym in town opens at 7 am. My advice is "Save your money, join a better facility that cares about the needs of its customers and is open at early hours."Report this

I've been to Kelsy Kerridge sports centre a few times and it is just an average sports hall, nothing out of the ordinary about it at all. There are good facilites indoors and the gym upstairs is well equipped and not too busy so you are able to use the equipment you want rightaway rather than having to queue up as you do in some gyms/sports centres. There are lockers provided and the changing rooms are clean and not too cramped. The toilets leave a lot to be desired and I am yet to spot a cleaner there whilst I have attended the centre. The swimming pool is of average size but it gets very busy at peak periods, especially with young children as there are schools relatively close by so not much chance for a quiet swim unless you go first thing in the morning during the week. The staff are more than willing to help out new members who are unsure of anything which I found very helpful. So all in all an average sports centre, lots of activites available and a good range of facilities, but nothing that makes it stand out from the rest. The area surrounding the centre is grotty - chewing gum and bird poo everywhere, in real need of refurbishment.Report this
