Just a few weeks ago, I too, was looking at reviews when planning to move. I came across HomeXperts and found that I could pay just £995 + vat, where all the other better-known, local agents, were asking around £3,600 to sell the same house! A saving of thousands! But would it be worth it? We were selecting houses to buy by price and other factors that suited us, but in the first instance, exclusively on the internet; after which, we would do a “drive-by” before contacting anyone. So my first concerns were, A) did HomeXperts have all the internet advertising power of the better known agencies, and B) could they do justice to the property I was selling, without the constraint of a robotic description or limited (and misleading, goldfish bowl type) photos, that I had encountered on (and put me off) so many other agents. As you do (or should), I made a list of questions (for comparison of answers) and invited a selection of local agents to visit and provide me with a written copy of their contract and to discuss services and costs. Long story, short: HomeXperts, in the shape of Neil Culver attended in turn. He didn’t hit me with the “hard sell”, but answered all my questions and really helpfully, educated me about selling my house in way that inspired far more confidence than any others I interviewed. Above all, he assured me that HomeXperts had all the advertising power an agent could need and his subsequent (draft first, then agreed) internet presentation, of my house, gave real meaning to the words “attractive and desirable”, satisfying both my initial concerns. As they met my needs and ensured that all potential buyers could see and reach me, who the agent was, his size, location or number of offices had absolutely no relevance. Only the quality of service following an enquiry, would “sort the men from the boys”. And that, is down to an individual, not a corporate identity. I was selling in a buyer’s market and at a bad time of the year and was surprised at the number of viewers that were generated in a very short time. Remember; being on a fixed-fee, HomeXperts could have recommended a sale, at any offer price, at any time, and still earned the same fee. The potential for this happened on a couple of occasions where, I believe, others might have said, “Take the offer”, and I would have happily accepted, but not Mr Culver. His original suggested selling price was generous BUT realistic, and his advice (even in this market) was to accept only a fair and reasonable offer. So, we held out and SOLD – ALL WITHIN 21 DAYS OF GOING ON THE MARKET for a BETTER PRICE than we were expecting! Neil never needed chasing, in fact he displayed a real inside knowledge and caring attitude, and anticipated every move, spending his time motivating others (buyers, agents and solicitors) towards a positive conclusion. I could not fault his integrity or professionalism. And not only did he see me into my new home but HomeXperts even sent me a “Home Mover’s Welcome Box” of essentials and treats! Who could ask for more? You could ask, but for my money (and a lot less of it!) you will not get better. I do not, as a rule, write reviews, even good ones. I figure if you pay for and get good service, then that is the point of a contract. However, in so many ways, HomeXperts, especially Neil Culver, has not only met my reasonable expectations but on numerous occasions has gone way beyond – and all for my benefit. I have nothing to gain by offering this recommendation but feel absolutely compelled to GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE. (Is this a genuine and personal view? Ask ent for my phone number and I will tell you how in this day and age, to get Service before Sales, and save significant money, from my own very recent and personal experience.)
