The Empire cinema Sunderland is located in the town centre it is very close to the shops and only a few minutes walking distance from the train and bus stands. It is close to a number of restaurants including Nandos ad Frankie & Benny’s, they also offer free parking to customers. I have only bee to this cinema at quieter times but found staff to be attentive, there is the usual cinema food sweets and drinks. There is a total of 12 screens at a vip room located in 4 of these. I had a good all round experience at this cinema and would recommend it.Report this
Review from a regular visitor

I am a regular visitor of this cinema and I find that the service quality I have received is inconsistent. Sometimes the staff at the food section seemed to be just taking their time in serving customers and sometimes the staff were attentive and efficient. It is good to know that you could purchase the movie ticket from either the box office or from the food section. It was nice to be able to get free parking when going for a picture at this cinema. In terms of the screening, I find that the advertising before the actual film could sometimes last as long as 20 minutes. The seats are comfortable and there are always plenty of spaces to choose from.Report this
