I was interested in this pub, but then saw the review dated 26 June 2010, and thought twice about it because I am also Asian. However, a friend invited out one evening and we visited this pub. The welcome was so far away from the previous review, the barman immediately addressed us with "Be there in a minute" as he was serving someone, and then was polite the whole time we were there. The customer's were also friendly and we chatted to an elderly man about his war memories. I can only imagine that the person who wrote the previous review has not liked the pub due to not understanding the virtues of a true British pub, and may of caused 'a scene' leading to him not being welcome anymore, and has wrote his review as revenge. This is a great pub.Report this
