When on the 29.12.11 .Waiter was great no problems their, and starters were okay considering their were probably frozen. The problem was the mains, my wife had the fish that smelt off and tasted terrible and so did the rice. I order the pulled pork Burritos which had tea spoon of pork in it and tasted degusing . Still at this point I did not complain until I took a mouth full of rice, half was cooked and the order was not, it was hard un-cooked rice and taste horrible ( unbelievable, Mexico restaurant that can not even cook rice ). I paid for drinks and starters but refused to pay for the mains as we did not eat them as they were totally disgusting. On the way out of the restaurant one of the chef's made a point to give us the evil eye from the kitchen and when I got home spent the rest of the evening throwing up. Would never go back or recommend and after speaking to other people afterwards, they have all hated the food at Chiquito. If i was able to give the restaurant a minus rating I would and also would not of paid for any of the food if I new I was going to be ill afterwards. Owners please take not of this review their needs to be major changes in this restaurant

It is expensive but the food is really good and the cocktails are nice too. The staff are generally friendly. The only thing is it feels a bit dated inside - I don't think it's ever been done up. Not a big deal at all, but it is a bit of a throw-back to the 90s.

  2. Mexican Restaurant

Chiquito is about a 5 minute walk from the train station and is opposite Wetherspoons. It's a Mexican restaurant (the only one I know of here in Milton Keynes) with Latin music played through the speakers inside and out! I've only eaten a few times and enjoyed my time there. I found the menu limited although there is a small buffet as well as the normal menu. There's also a bar which serves cocktails that I've yet to try. I've always found the place a bit pricey especially compared to the Wetherspoons next door. It's a popular place for parties be that family or work related. Wait times for food is average so can't complain.

  3. olay!

Chiquitos offer excellent tasty food and it is certainly worth a visit. I would rate it as quite expensive compared to other local restaurants, so visiting is always for a special occasion. I wish I could go more often as the food is yummy. There is a wide range of Mexican food, ranging from the hot and spicy to the mild but tasty. The atmosphere is lively, with Mexican music playing throughout the night and the place is always full of people. The staff are helpful and enthusiastic – albeit sometimes too enthusiastic! They offer a wide range of cocktails, which are worth a try, as are their delicious puddings. Chiquitos is certainly worth the special occasion visit.

A great place to eat, especially with a group of friends of family. The atmosphere is lively, playing mexican themed music throughout the night. The staff are very friendly, quick and efficient. A range of reasonably priced cocktails are available and as you can order sharing snacks such as nachos or a platter it is an excellent place to begin an evening out. The food is all tex-mex but a great variety is offered, from steak and ribs to wraps and salads. The are also many vegetarian options. The food, though well flavoured, is not especially spicy, making it a good choice for families or groups with differing tastes, but perhaps not for those seeking authentic mexican cuisine. The menu is very reasonably priced and they even offer an early doors menu where two courses are only ten pounds.
