Cafe Rouge is a chain of Brasserie-style restaurants serving a range of light meals and drinks within a French atmosphere. There is a large choice of dishes as well as hot and cold drinks which makes this restaurant a good stop off point for tea and snacks rather than grand dinners. This branch has a private room for hire.
It must have changed.

I look down at the previous reviews with disbelief. Great coffee!, it is difficult to bring myself to finish the sad liquid they are serving to me as coffee. Service at the moment is non existent. The prices are far too high for the mediocre delivery and product. Please there are so many better places to loose money.Report this

Visited Cafe Rouge in Windsor for our Christmas Dinner. The food, French, was really good. The service was also good (very attentive waiters) and the menu choices (albeit limited for the Christmas Menu) was really good. I especially liked my Apricot Brioche for Dessert. All my colleagues (over 12) also could not complain about their food selections. In all, a nice place with good ambience ... think I could go there for Coffee in my Beret! :)Report this

I absolutely love cafe rouge, but for many many different reasons! Firstly, the location of this one is amazing set in the station. The decor, although adorned with the usual chain decorations, is still gorgeous. The staff here are also excellent and so is the service they deliver. They are very welcoming, polite and friendly and you never have to wait very long before being served. There is also no issue whatever you order, whether it be just a drink, just a coffee or one of every cake they sell! The food here is delicious and they do an amazing breakfast. The coffee is also mellow and smooth and tastes great!Report this

Set as it is within one of the red brick arches of the beautifully renovated Royal Station Parade, this is by far the most attractive Café Rouge I've seen over the years. With it's high vaulted ceiling, wooden split-level floors, potted plants and bright airy feel, it almost feels like a genteel Victorian conservatory. There's outside seating, too, which benefits from being just inside the huge glass arch that covers this popular shopping and café area. Sheltered from the elements, one can sit and watch the world go by, or gaze at the massive walls of the nearby castle. Of course the food is the same old Café Rouge menu that one gets anywhere, but if you like Café Rouge then you'll like the menu. The last time I was there, my friend and I just ordered a couple of glasses of wine... made peckish by the wine, we then ordered just one Croque Monsieur with fries to share. The waitress was fine with this rather conservative order, and even made us feel comfortable by bringing extra plates so we could divvy up the food. All in all an enjoyable, relaxing experience... I should go more often.Report this
