Quality in service and food

Love the place. It is like stepping back into the forties with all the waitresses wearing black clothes, white aprons and white hat. Food is fresh, and reasonably priced. Best coffee, best panani, and plenty of memories! The old adverts on the walls and photos of famous people of yesteryear. Very busy in summertime but still worth a visit even so. Their own coffee is cheaper and better tasting that one of the bid national coffee shops four or five doors away!Report this

I love Bruccianis! The ambience is brilliant, I always imagine it a bit like an old railway waiting room with its umbrellas and suitcases displayed. Since I was a child it has always been a treat to go to the cafe when we were in town. The malted coffee is a must (like a mixture between coffee and horlicks, absolutely delicious!) The sandwiches and cakes are really tasty too. Admittedly there is usually a long queue and sometimes the tables are not cleaned as soon as the customers leave, but the staff will always clean it as soon as they notice/have time.Report this

Now this is one place I do not like. Its small stuffy not particularly attractive place. The queues are too long and the food a bit boring. You can tell i dont like it but a lot of people seem to. Its quite nice to sit outside on the pavement but thats usually full and sitting inside is a bit of a disappointment. I did not enjoy the experience last time I went in and will certainly not be going again but dont let that put you off. as I have never really liked it since I went in 35 years ago. its not often I give a bad review but this is one place I have to sorryReport this

Bruccianis is an old style italian cafe/ice cream parlour. its completely different inside to anywhere else you will go, its all old wood panelling and bevelled mirrors and the walls are covered in black and white photographs of the stars of the silver screen. The tables and chairs are old and wooden and the general feel is of an older cafe than a posh one. Infact definatly isn't posh but it is unique. The coffee is weak and almost tastes instant and the food, in the glass cabinets, always looks to dry to even try eating! However there is something good about the atmoshere in this place, also they serve elaborate ice creams which are gorgeous. If you dont mind the traffic fumes you can also now site outside. This is a unique cafe, you will either love it or hate it.Report this
