Im also shocked by the bad reveiws as I have received amazing service from Brides of Bond Street. Both the shop and assistants were amazing in helping me make one of the biggest decisions of my life and I would like to ensure you all I am a bridezilla!! Please do not be put off by the bad reviews as the dresses at this shop are out of this world and I can confirm the dresses are made there as I watched the ladies hand stich beads on with my own eyes!! Thank you ladies xxReport this
"We make our dresses here, we don't get them from China!!"

I visited this shop with my three bridesmaids a few weeks ago, and can safely say I will not be returning. To start with the window display looked like a five year old had designed it, and then there was how utterly rude the staff are there (particularly the short blonde lady). The FIRST thing I was asked was what my budget was...I don't even think we got a hello. When I said I was looking at around the £500-600 mark, the lady told me I would be really 'restricting' myself with a budget like that (even though I had tried on other dresses on at some lovely bridal boutiques that day at around that price range). When I told her I was looking for something lacy, she sort of scoffed and told us the lace dresses they had were upstairs, but there wouldn't much in my price range. I asked if we could have a look anyway and she reluctantly led the way. We got up there and immediately she pulled out a hideous 'lacy' dress which was at the top end of my budget, basically telling me that I wouldn't be able to afford anything else. She then asked to see photos of what I had already tried on elsewhere. My sister by this time was losing her patience with her but showed her the photos anyway. When my sister mentioned that the dresses I'd tried on were beaded lace, she gave us a lecture on how they weren't beaded lace and how they wouldn't be very well made. I also mentioned at one point that I'd been into Debenhams and they didn't have any dresses in-store, which I thought they had done in the past. I said that you'd have to order them online and I wouldn't be comfortable doing that. She then lectured me once again, saying that I most definitely shouldn't order a dress online, as 9 out of 10 brides who do that, end up throwing them away and buying a new one anyway.... Don't get me wrong, there were some lovely dresses in there, they're just very expensive. The whole time we were in there, it was as though she was laughing at me and making out I was too poor to shop there and acting as though she was above me. If you're business is to provide a service, then provide that service without being so rude. Oh, and yes, the title of this review is a quote from her. We didn't know whether to laugh...but she was being deadly serious.Report this

Very shabby shop and disinterested, rude assistants. Dress arrived with ironed in creases around the bottom of the train and on the wedding day found stitches across the zip which had to be cut and risk the buttons falling off. I would not recommend this business.Report this

I cannot believe some of the reviews of this shop. I have had nothing but great service on each of the occasions I have visited them. All of the staff have been welcoming and full of enthusiasm. They could not have helped me more .From choosing both a wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses, advising on the styles that would suit all of my different shaped bridesmaids,to the fitting and completion of everything well before my wedding.I would strongly recommend a visit you will not be dissapointed!Report this

i had spend over 1000 pounds with these people and they couldnt even say hello when you walked through the door. i found them at an exhibition and they had some beautiful bridesmaid dresses. they were £240 each so very expensive but i thought it would be worth the money. i was told it was a made to measure service. i collected all the girlss went up to leicester. we were treated horribly from the beginning but i thought i would give them the benefit of the doubt.... they all got measured and we were then told to go back in 6 weeks. when we went back and the girls tried the dresses on. most of them needed alterring. not a problem and understandable but they then asked for £15 per dress to be altered. i was fuming and irritated. they are so unprofessional and rude its untrue. i would never advice anyone to go thereReport this

Very disappointing & upsetting experience

The selection of dresses is quite small compared to other shops in the city. I would not recommend this shop at all. They are more interested in getting your deposit in the till than actually giving the happy, helpful service every bride deserves when choosing a wedding dress! In January I visited it with my daughter who is planning her wedding for September. We were made to feel uncomfortable right from the start, "the sale rail is there"???, we had shown the lady a picture of the type of dress my daughter wanted, we were told we wouldn't be able to get one like that and were continually told that whatever she had would have to be ordered now to get it in time for September, they then kept showing her different versions of the same style of dress over & over but they were totally different from the style of dress she wanted, my daughter is about 5' 10" & 16/18 so not massive she was finally made to try on a dress she didn't like, which was a size 10, there was no attempt to fasten it, & there were 2 women standing around, I believe the "managers" "owners" they were rude and unhelpful, my daughter said she didn't like it and one of the managers said "It's not what you like, it's what suits you". I beg to differ, needless to say we left rather quickly and it spoilt what should have been a lovely day for us both. I'm not surprised the shop was empty. I would not advise anyone to go there and I have heard nightmare stories since from girls that have bought their dresses thereReport this

I am sorry to say i had already paid for my dress when i was treated so rudely, looked down on by 2 members of staff who hardly let me open my mouth before stating "NO REFUND" the 2 women stood infront of me were intimidating to say the least. I never went in for a refund i went in to ask if i could exchange my tiara as it didnt match my jewellry i never even got to look at another as it was NO NO NO i left the shop close to tears and id spent nearly £500 in there 3 weeks ago i wish i hadnt and would NOT RECOMMEND!!!Report this

I found this shop on Google and what a find! I'd visited a few of the other shops in Leicester already but found myself feeling rather let down by both the knowledge of the staff and the selection of dresses. But here I walked into a welcoming reception from staff who were friendly and obviously passionate in what they do. The selection of dresses were beautiful and I finally found myself spoilt for choice! Thoroughly recommended for any bride-to-be.Report this
